SPORTS CHANBARA
What is Sports Chanbara or Spochan!
Sports Chanbara is an international Japanese sword (and spear) sport, involving around 500,000 people in 63 countries. It is also known as Spochan, a cute abbreviation of its original name!
It has very simple rules and the weapons used are the so-called air soft, a patent made of foam material, silicone and an internal balloon in the body of the sword, which we inflate very easily with a bicycle pump. This patent allows the interested party to engage immediately, safely.
It follows the tradition of Japanese Sword and Spear Sports, in terms of hierarchy, zones of distinction and rules of courtesy, but is also governed by the high ideals of its Japanese Creator, Tensudo Tanabe, as well as the purest form of competition, which stipulates that the player who has been hit must tell the referees even if they have not noticed it due to the high speed of the exchange of blows in the sport.
Seminar-type courses are held at the Athens Bushido Center!
