Aikido for kids

Παιδικό Τμήμα Aikido bushido center

The Aikido Bushido Center offers a structured children’s aikido program. Aikido, ideal for children’s physical and mental development, is a modern martial art with deep roots in Japanese tradition, adapted to the needs of everyone, regardless of age or gender.

Practicing in the children’s aikido class offers multiple benefits. In addition to improving their physical condition through athletic activities, emphasis is placed on mental development. Our young students learn to cooperate, handle situations without competition, and cultivate self-discipline, while simultaneously boosting their self-confidence.

Through the fun and techniques of aikido, children develop important skills that contribute not only to their interpersonal relationships but also to their academic development. Research from Japan has shown that students who practice aikido show a 30-35% improvement in their academic performance.

Training takes place in a friendly and safe environment, tailored to the children’s age and skill level. For younger children, instruction is primarily through play, while for older children, the focus is on aikido techniques. Aikido does not involve sparring, so children are free from the pressure of competition and instead learn the value of mutual support and self-control.

The children’s aikido program at the Aikido Bushido Center helps young practitioners develop critical thinking, self-discipline, and the ability to resolve conflicts peacefully. Through varied activities and expert guidance, children develop their skills in a healthy environment that builds their abilities and self-confidence.
